This enterprise showed to be more than just a major job. Every inch of the site had to be cleaned up as a lot of “old-time” waste from previous occupiers of the site and occupiers before them had piled up. This resulted in a great involvement of patients, voluntary staff and professionals already from the start of this process and the reconstruction and building of this “A new Beginning” Halfway House became also a kind of common project with a lot of incorporation of both patients ideas, staff ideas and professional entrepreneurs advice on actual possibilities.
