for Drug-abusing and Abused street/migrant children
Street and migrant children are the casualties of a number of desperate family circumstances, such as dire poverty, loss of traditional values, domestic violence, and physical as well as mental abuse. Most are denied education, health care and are themselves alcohol and drug abusers. Sexual abuse and exploitation of children continues to be considerably under-reported. One reason is the severe lack of experience and resources needed in dealing with these issues, another is the reluctance to address such sensitive subjects. In the current situation, many of these children grow up in a harsh environment, with no education and very little hope for a bright and secure future.
NGO Fontana & Partners specializing in treatment of abused children, wish to collaborate in the establishment of a model Shelter Home/ Education Center (an alternative to home life) combining substance abuse treatment, trauma treatment and education for this vulnerable group of drug-abusing and abused children
